So, I think I'm going to take a break from my blog, and decide what I want to do with it. I may continue posting, or I might just make a book from my blog, and stop blogging for good. :)

I'm grateful for all my friends and family in my life. Most of all I'm grateful to my loving Savior, who was born in a lowly stable, lived a blameless life, and died a horrible death, that I might be set free. Now I have the freedom to love and worship Him forever; whether it be here on earth, or in Heaven when He calls me home!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and will have a wonderful New Year's Eve/Day as we move into the new year of 2010!

Resurgence Christmas party!

Last Sunday we had our Resurgence Christmas party. We held it at our neighborhood's clubhouse, which is pretty nice =] First, we ate dinner (Zaxby's and veggies) then we bundled up and prepared ourselves to run around for the theme "Amazing Race." After we got back to the clubhouse, we all ate dessert, which was many different kinds of cookies! It was a very fun and enjoyable night :)

This was taken while driving through a sunset in beautiful Virginia. So pretty!

First of all, I can't believe how fast November went by! It's already the first week into December, crazy! Here are things I can recap:

~My half-marathon: It went so well! I'm so thankful to God for helping me finish :) The running view was great since we ran through downtown Atlanta during sunrise. The weather was perfect, no rain, and not too hot. (It was a little cold at first). But the part I'm grateful for the most is my running time. I put on my registration papers I would run the race around 2 hours and 45 min. But, I'm happy to say that I ran it in 2 hours and 12 min! I ran so much faster than I expected that my mom missed seeing me finish because she thought she had another 20 minutes at least! hehe. My dad also finished his marathon within the time he wanted to finish. He finished around 3 hours and 28 minutes! I'm so proud of my dad for running and finishing his marathon :) I'm relieved that my training is finally over, but I'm grateful that I was able to fulfill my goal and finish a half-marathon. I could not have done any of it without my parents and of course without God!

~Thanksgiving: We spent Thanksgiving day much differently than how we usually spend it. That morning my dad and I ran our races, then we hopped in the car straight from the finish line and started driving the 9.5 hour drive to VA Beach, VA! The next day we went shopping for a little while, then had a really relaxing low-key Thanksgiving dinner at the W's. I'm thankful we got to be in VB even just for the weekend!

~Elle's birthday: Elle's 14th birthday was the day after Thanksgiving, November 27th, 2009. We actually ended up celebrating it the 25th, however, because of us being out of town. We all went to Stevie B's, and Elle opened her presents there. Happy Birthday Elle! You can't be 14 already, stinker! :)

Well I think that's all the updating for now. I might do some more posts as we get closer to Christmas and New Year's. I hope everybody had a great and relaxing Thanksgiving, as we all pondered on God's wonderful blessings in our lives!

So a lot has gone on recently. Our family had decided to drive up to Virginia Beach, VA, for the Thanksgiving weekend. That will be very fun (except for all the driving which we just did in August!). The only downside is that we have to leave on Thanksgiving after my dad and I run our races. That means we'll really be celebrating Thanksgiving on the day after Thanksgiving. That's ok though, it will still be fun! =]

As for my running, the last few weeks have been crazy. I've been trying to fit in as many miles as possible before my half-marathon! This last week I can't run any long miles, so all I can really do is relax and wait for the big day. I'm not a fast runner, so I don't plan on finishing in any special time. My personal goal is to make it under 3 hours, and the goal I put on my registration is 2 hours and 45 min. I have a feeling I won't fulfill either of those goals, but it will be fun to try.

Other than that, life has been around the same. I'm hoping to take some fall pictures before the leaves fall off from all the rain. Maybe I'll post those if I can remember!
Anyways, here are some random pictures taken within a month or so. :)

Here are some pictures from October 31st. A lot of families, including ours, went to the Ganster's house for pizza and candy. It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of people.
All the little kids dressed up and went trick-or-treating for a little while. The older kids didn't dress up (except Andrea :) but some of us went trick-or-treating for a little while to get candy ;)

It seems like this year we have almost completely skipped Fall! It was pretty warm here until last week, then we went straight into freezing cold. On top of all of that, the rain has continued pretty much every day, so the leaves have just been falling off before even changing. It's kind of sad that we haven't been able to experience the beautiful sight of changing leaves on the trees. I hope the weather will turn more Fallish soon hehe. If it doesn't, we might skip straight to Winter! As I type this, I feel like my hands are going to fall off because they're so cold :P
Oh well, at least I'm not dying of heat or anything ;)

Park Days

Ever since the weather has gotten cooler, we have been having many more park days :) It's nice in the summer with no school, but in the Fall/Winter the weather is much more suitable to be outside :)

The bird picture is a bird we found on our front porch when we got back home! I think he might have hit our front window, and was too shocked to fly away. So we put him in a little homemade nest in our basement, and kept him safe until he could fly again. :)

My parents went to a SGM leaders conference this weekend, so I havent had much time to post on here! I can't believe it's October already! The last 3 months have really flown by :P I guess I have just been keeping busy with school, running, and life :) School has been going pretty well. It's not my favorite thing to do, but for the most part it's relatively easy, and I can keep my grades up. Running is ok...I did not do my usual running this past week due to my parents being gone. So I feel out of the running mode right now. Hopefully I can get back in the groove by tomorrow! As for tonight, I have tennis. I don't really LOVE tennis, but as I have gotten better, I have slowly started to like it more and more. Maybe I will get some pictures of that tonight ;)

This Thursday I went with two other families to the apple orchard =] We got to go into the petting farm, eat good apple foods, and best of all, pick out tons of apples! Sorry I didn't get any pictures of the actual apples! Our family bought around 55 apples, however, so we are set for a while.

Obviously I have been negligent towards my blog the past month. I'm going to start anew and really try to keep up with my posts, at least for the rest of the month :) I am not really blogging so much for other people to read, as I am just doing it for myself. (Although having readers is always a plus ^.^) I find that when I write down my thoughts, post pictures, etc, I feel more accomplished, and I'm glad that I saved that stuff to look back on later. So look for new posts in the future, preferably more often than once a month...

Catching up:
Rebelution Conference, 2009, Birmingham, AL.
At the end of August, Several teens from Resurgence traveled the 3 hour trip to AL, to attend a Rebelution conference! We went, and it was an excellent conference. Alex and Brett Harris spoke clearly and were very easy to understand. It was a great experience, and I'm grateful that I got to go. :)

Wisdom teeth out...
Last Tuesday I went to a surgeon to get my wisdom teeth out,(Surprisingly, I only had two) and also to pull down an impacted tooth. I must say that it was NOT the most comfortable thing in the world, but God came through for me, and it was not a horrible experience either ;) I was very swollen and bruised for the first week, and school was not my first priority that whole week. The following Friday I had co-op, and let's just say I was not 100% there :P I have recovered a lot more since then, but my mouth is still bruised and my impacted tooth is pretty painful. I hope to recover fully soon so I can get back to eating my normal foods!

That same Friday we celebrated Aliya's 18th birthday with a small pajama party :) We watched an old movie call "The Rear Window," and had cake and ice cream as well. Happy 18th birthday Aliya! I'm so thankful for you. You are a great example to me in so many ways, and I can't imagine my life without you! Thanks for being the best older sister in the entire world!!! =D I love you!

Besides all these events, I'm still actively training to run a half-marathon at the end of October. I did take a couple breaks due to sickness, or extreme business, but I am now back on schedule and hope to continue to the end :) I'll update more on this as I get into it more.

So, I'm pretty sure that I am all caught up on the most recent events. Please check back with my blog more often if you still read this ;) I really hope to keep updating it on a regular basis so I don't have to do these uber long posts. Haha

I don't have a lot of time to post since I have to go to bed! Tomorrow we leave for the Rebelution conference in AL :) I'm really excited and can't wait! Updates

Well, I just got through my last week of no school. I'm kind of excited of starting school, but I know it's going to take a few weeks to get on a normal schedule. After we start school on Monday however, we will be leaving three days later to drive to Virginia Beach, VA! :) We will only be there for about three days, but if it gets me out of a couple more days of school then I'm fine with that. So really the Monday after that is when our serious school schedule starts hehe.

On another topic, I am still running to train for a 10K/half marathon. I have been running at least three times a week, and I'm averaging about 13+ miles a week! This is very exciting to me, since before I could barely even run 1 mile without almost passing out lol. Although there are some routes that are pretty hard (e.g...the ones with hills), for the most part I have found running to be fun and almost relaxing :) I'm really excited about doing this running plan, and even if I end up not running any major races, I'll still feel like I accomplished something.

Well that's all I have for now. I should have some pictures up from VA (If I take any :P) sometime next week. Hopefully I'll have something interesting to post until then!

Oh! I almost forgot! For several months now, one of the high C's on our piano has been broken, thus ruining several songs we tried to play. Well, finally we had a piano tuner/technician come in and fix the key! Words can't describe how happy this made me. Now I feel like I can play so much easier without having to worry about that one key lol

Sorry it's been so long! Summer is usually when I post the least since I don't seem to think of posting! But, anyways, this past week all of us girls finally decided to get perms :) So my mom bought the supplies for our hair, and gave us each a perm (different days). So far I can't wash it with shampoo yet, so I've just been rinsing my hair with hot water. I have to wait 48 hours until I can wash my hair or style it. That's torture since the solution used for the perm smells HORRIBLE. lol So anyways that's what we have been up to recently! Here are all the pictures if you want to see more. Also there are some from Joel's 20th birthday (It's today:)

I made this story in a very crazy way. I took 10 completely different books, and used the first sentence on each page 56. I put all the sentences together, and this is what I came up with. After each period is a new sentence from a different book.

And he loved the quiet times after Hester and Lester went to bed. Then they picked up their rubber mats and walked to the next room. G.T. looked at us with such kindness in his face. Mama ran into the house and shut the door behind her. We might have thought they were stupid if it hadn't been for them joining in the hopscotch. To his surprise Jokey, lying asleep at his feet, woke up with a start, hopping up on his three legs and then stood up on his hind legs, pawing Trad's knee impatiently. "Dear Mr. Henshaw, I finished Beggar Bears in two nights." And that's where we're going to start. He stopped on the doorstep to talk to Grandfather. "It's a whale!" Ashley yelled, splashing into the surf, "I think it's stranding!"

Fourth of July

Sadly, my camera was pretty much completely dead so I only got 2 pictures of fireworks. Yesterday was a very fun and enjoyable day as we celebrated yet another birthday of our free country. We had some friends over to our house, then around 8:00 PM we headed to a grocery store and watched some fireworks go off behind it! After that we came home and watched one of our neighbors' fireworks as well. All in all it was a very nice night with friends and family. Sorry I've been neglecting my blog so much, but pretty much every day has been around the same up to now. Here's a little schedule of what I have going this week!

~Starting tomorrow, every day for the next five days I'm going to be at a local driver's ed class. It's going to be from 9AM to 4PM, so I won't be around very often this week. I'm attending the class with two of my friends (They're both named Rachel :) so I'm not totally nervous about it. I'm just hoping that the actual work won't be too hard since I haven't been in the "school" mode for a while.

~At the end of the week (Lord willing) my neighbor and friend, Rachel G is coming to stay with us for a week while her parents are gone. I'm very excited and I'm praying that her parents have a safe trip there and back!

~ Also at the end of this week, my dad and my older sister are leaving for a missions trip in Bolivia for 12 days! I know that they are both very excited, but also a little nervous. The place where they are going does not have the best living conditions, nor the best health conditions. But while they are there they are going to do various jobs including some medical work and other stuff to help the community. I'll be praying that they are able to reach out to natives there and preach the gospel to them.

So this is what my week looks like! I'm not sure if I'll have many pictures :P I have been pretty lazy in the picture taking department, making my blog pretty boring. Sorry! I'll do my best to take some pictures and post them on here. I'm not sure when my next blog post will be, so until then...

Nothing new

I'm posting to say that as of now, there is nothing new and exciting that has gone on recently. The most exciting part of my day was playing in the pounding rain today! Now I'm soaked, but satisfied :) The rest of June doesn't really have anything exciting going on, but something could always happen unexpected.

Finally home...

We're finally home! I had a lot of fun, and I must say that last week was one of the longest weeks ever. :P I really enjoyed the beach and Fl in general. We stayed in our condo from Saturday, to Friday. After we checked out, we drove to on of my mom's friend's house and stayed there until Sunday morning. We left her house and started driving so we could go to church at the Orlando church, Metro Life Church. After church we got a quick bite to eat, then we got on the road and started the 8 hour (approximately) trip home :)
We pulled up to our house at around 9:15 P.M., and once we all unpacked, all of us kids went to the pool to cool off. All in all, it was a long, but very enjoyable week for me!
Since I'm too lazy to sort through all my pictures, you can see the rest of my beach pictures here (If you so desire ;) Sorry, a lot of the night ones were so blurry because I got sand and water on my camera lens =[ The waves splashed up on us a lot at night hehe

Well we made it to FL! We left after my race at around 9:15 and arrived to FL at around 5:30 p.m. My race went well, but a few minutes after I ran it I started feeling really sick to my stomach. So I tried to eat a banana and drink some juice, but I felt like I was going to throw up! So I ran inside the clubhouse straight to the bathrooms. I ended up not throwing up, but I wanted to make sure I wouldn't in the car later ;) The trip went well, and for the most part the weather stayed sunny and HOT. at around 3:00 it started raining really hard, and it never stopped even after we got to our condo. Later the realtor lady said that we drove in during a tornado and that was the reason for all the rain and lighting hehe. Well we have been to the beach every day so far and it's beautiful! The sand is a little hard though, because of all the rain. All of us got sun burned pretty badly yesterday even after reapplying spf 45 everal times. :P

Well no pictures for now because the computer we need is dead right now.

FL here we come!

A good amount of time has gone by since I last posted. That's mostly due to a lack of motivation to post again, and the fact that nothing major has happened since then. Well, to break that cycle, I bring you these wonderful news: We're leaving to FL tomorrow! This was sorta a last minute "vacation" that my mom and I conjured up. We all have been craving the beach, and since I've never been to FL, I was happy to oblige. Aliya and my dad are staying home, however, due to their Bolivia missions trip, and the fact that they have to work. So, as sorta a "replacement" we are taking Maggie with us instead. She is as overjoyed as we are about staying on the beach. :) We got a good priced condo that's about a 2-5 minute walk to the beach, and I'm hoping that the condo is a nice place to stay. (I'll see if I can get some pictures up on here while we're gone.) Anyways, I'm leaving tomorrow morning to FL for a pleasant and relaxing week (If the weather holds up! If you think of it, please pray that we don't hit too many thunder storms this week). Also tomorrow is my long-awaited 5k race. For those of you who don't know, that's 3.1 miles. It's a run/walk race, however, so I feel I'm in good condition to participate ;) I'm hoping to get under 36 minutes (that was Elle's time a few weeks ago) but other than that, I'm hoping just to finish the race at all! To top off the crazy week we just got through, we have been keeping Charlie W, while his family is off at the beach. He's a cutie, and I love having him, however, he does have a lot to say. If one of our dogs doesn't play with him he starts getting worked up and barks non-stop for about 5 min. hehe. Other than that he's a sweetie, and I always enjoy having him!
So that's basically it. Consider yourselves updated on my life.

My new running shoes! I'm very excited about them, and have already used them a few times. They are the 5.0 Nike Frees, and although they aren't the most supportive shoes, I love the way they feel when I run.

And alas, what would be a post if I didn't include a random picture. This is of some unidentified pair of sunglasses (which are very dirty I must say). If you look closely you can see a lot through the lens; including me =D

Summer

Finally summer vacation has started for me! I just finished the last of my school yesterday, and I feel so relieved now. This week we have been to the pool almost every day. The weather finally turned from rainy and cloudy to bright and sunny: a perfect pool day :) Sunday was our church picnic, and surprisingly I didn't find it too hot. I have also been watching the G's dogs, Treasure and Leia this week. I love them and I hope to have some pics up of them soon ;). I also got my running shoes today! I love them!! I'm going to be training over the summer for different races, and eventually I want to train for a marathon. :) I'm hoping to participate in a 5K race on June 13th, but we'll see if I can train enough to run it.

That's all for now! It's 90 degrees out right now, so I'm staying inside :)

This weekend we got to watch Charlie H. while his family went out of town for Next :) He is the cutest little guy! He was so playful and pleasant to watch. Charlie was a little scared of Calvin, though, because Calvin had to wear a lampshade on his head that whole weekend. Whenever Calvin ran into something it would scare Charlie because of the loud noise it made hehe. All in all, Charlie was so much fun! (Sorry I didn't get any good pictures! We were very busy with 3 dogs :)

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated. I've been a little busy, and a little under the weather. Last week were my co-op finals, and I must say, I am so relieved that they're over! I'm also very grateful, because my overall class grades were all A's. I'm so blessed because I know God has really helped me through my first year of high school. I'm almost positive that I wouldn't have survived if it weren't for God's faithfulness to help me through! Now that I've finished half my subjects off, I have math, history, and German to finish off the school year.

Aside from school, things have been about the same! May promises to be a busy month as we have two guests coming to stay with us for a few weeks. First, this Monday my grandma is coming to visit us, and to stay for Aliya's high school graduation. A few days later our great friend Rachel is flying in for Aliya's graduation, Next, and some social time :) This will be a fun change to have company for a couple weeks.

Finally, what's a blog post without at least a couple pictures? Well, the first few pictures kind of explain what the weather has been like lately: Dull. Most of the week has been rainy and humid, but I shouldn't complain, because after the rainy will just come hot summer days! The rest of the pictures are just random ones I took at a Football game :)

Easter

Here are a few random pictures

We had a great Easter this year. We went to church in the morning, and the message was great! After church we went to the Walter's for lunch, then just hung out. We had an easter egg hunt, and found 99 out of 100 eggs! (that means one is still out there hehe) I found the special egg, and I won a chocolate bunny :) After that we just relaxed, and had a bonfire a little later. (It was a pretty sad fire starting out). This week I have my spring break (I still have some school), so I'm just taking a break and hanging out! I hope everybody had a great Easter remembering that it was the greatest day in the history of the world! He is risen!

Everything around here has been about the same. The weather has been a little depressing recently because it's been cold and rainy almost every day for 2 weeks. I just can't wait until all the days start being warm and nice outside :) School is pretty much the same. I have about a month and a half left, then I'm DONE! I'm really excited about the thought of being finished with school! This week and next week I have 2 light weeks of school for spring break, which is nice. Currently in Literature class we are reading Great Expectations, and at the end of the year we're having a tea party. The downside (at least in my opinion hehe) is that each of us has to act like our characters. I have Molly as my character, so I won't have any major acting parts :) I'll have more to say about that later.
Things have been going great, and I can't believe it's already April! (I say that for every month) Hope you all are doing good.

Well I finally finished my no sugar month! I didn't pig out too much, just a cinnamon roll, some girl scout cookies, and ice cream! I'm glad that I could make it through without breaking down :) Pretty much everybody was asking me why I even did the no sweets thing. Basically, I felt that sweets and sugar were becoming a big thing in my life, and they became an idol to me. I felt like I needed to fast the thing that was becoming more important to me than God. Like Mr. Rogers said in his message on Sunday, we fast to show our dependence on God. I was only able to give up sweets by the grace of God. Whenever I craved sweets, I was reminded how much I depend on God to help me. I'm glad I could fulfill my goal, and I think I'm going to go for another month!!!..... haha April fool's! :)

Ok so I have made it through three weeks of no sweets, and now I'm beginning the last week! I must say, although I haven't LOVED it, it hasn't been that hard. Of course I'm not going without sugar, just without extra unnecessary sugar and sweets. (that makes it a lot easier hehe). We'll see if I can last for one more week....Aside from all of that, I'm going to TRY to post another adventure with Sulley :) If nobody likes those adventures, I won't do them anymore, however. Well today it has been exactly one week since I started that no sugar thing. Wow, I can't believe it's already March of 2009! The past couple months went by too fast. But I'm excited, because the faster the days go by, the faster we get towards finishing school hehe. This March is going to be different compared to any other March I've had before. For the entire month of March (starting today not March 1st :P ) I'm going to try to cut down on all unnecessary sweets, and sugar. This means, no ice cream, cookies, excessive white flour, soda, or anything else you can think of. All of this I have to avoid for the month of March. This won't be too hard considering the fact that we don't buy that kind of stuff anyway. I just want to cut down on the amount of sugar I'm eating each week, and try to make it a regular eating habit. So we'll see how far I can make it into this little challenge :)

Also, I added the follower gadget to my blog, so if you're a reader I know, please feel free to follow my blog! If I don't know you, I might have to consider removing you from my follower's list.

3 Years

Well, today we have been in Georgia for exactly 3 years! I still have trouble spelling it too hehe. I can still remember what it was like to first enter the state, then to first drive up to our house. I had mixed emotions as I was about to enter a totally new lifestyle, complete with new friends, and new places. Being raised in the west for 9 years, then moving to the south was a crazy thoguht. Especially as we drove across the country to live in a state we had never been to! Life here as proven to be somewhat challenging, but knowing it was God's will for us, I wouldn't have it any other way. In this post, I'm going to recap what it was like for our first week in GA. So, I'll start with out first day here; Tuesday, February 28th, 2006.

It was about 2:15 as our family drove into our neighborhood for the first time! I was in awe at how beautiful everything was, including the trees, and even the houses. Finally, as we took the last right turn onto Summerchase Dr., I could never be prepared for what lay ahead for our life. We slowly drove up to our house for the very first time. Over at the Ellises's, Mrs. Ellise, Annie, and Bridgette were sitting outside on their driveway waiting for us. The week before, the Ellise's had graciously offered to keep our house key until we arrived here. So as we pulled into our driveway, and stepped out for the first time, I couldn't believe we had finally made it to GA! After getting all our car stuff inside, the Butlers came and explored our hosue with us. Later Maggie and Camille came home from Timothy. After knowing them for one year by email and letters, we were finally able to meet them in person. Later that day Rachel and Amy came to our house, and I was able to meet Rachel for the first time as well. (I had known her for one year too). That night we had a delicious barbecue at the Butler's house for dinner, and that was a great ending to our first day in GA. For the next two weeks, several families had us over to their homes, brought meals to us, and gave us some home essentials. I just remember feeling so welcomed for our first month here in GA. Our first Sunday at church, several people came up to us and warmly greeted us. Later that afternoon more friends came over including the Bauers! We had lots of fun that day, and it was the perfect end to our first week in Georgia.

Now 3 years later, I feel blessed to have good friends, a great church, and a beautiful home. I feel like I have gone from the western beauty of the Colorado Rockies, to the southern charm of the Georgia trees. I am grateful to God for his perfect plan for us to move here, and I can't wait to see how his plans unfold in the years to come! I now feel that in a sense, I can finally call Georgia home.

I'm so excited, because this is finally my 100th post!

And what better news to bring with my 100th post then to say....I GOT MY PERMIT!!!
Yesterday, I finally drove over to the Drivers building along with Rachel Ganster, so we could both take our drivers test. I was so nervous, because I must admit I didn't really study much at all. We were only allowed to miss 5 questions for each section, and I am pretty happy to say that I only missed one! Of course I remembered the correct answer after I chose the wrong one lol. But anyways, we both passed, and I was soooo relieved after that.
I did not drive home (haha) but I did get to drive down our street =] I have never driven before obviously, so it was a little scary, but I think I can get used to it.
So that's the big news of the week!

Sorry, but I did not get any pictures from Sunday!

Today, was a very interesting day, however.
First we were gonna do school, but instead we ended up babysitting some kids at our house, so my mom could go out to coffee with their mom. After babysitting for a couple hours, we ate lunch, then walked through the woods with Andrea. We walked all the way to Publix, and ate a couple donuts from there =] After that, we went to the park!!! yay!!! with 3 other people (they will remain nameless) After getting hit in my leg with a freezing football, falling on a SUPER SPIKY bush, and freezing almost to death, it felt great to be able to sit down in a warm house. That house was the Hollise's, where we watched a little tv, ate dinner, and played the pool game...crap. Yes it's a bad name, and we personally don't like to use that term lol

Anways, all in all, even though we didn't have school and had to miss a day, it was a great day! (now I just have to catch up on today's school tomorrow :P )

Here's what we do at the park =] We usually have contests to see who can get the highest first, and then who can stop the first, all without touching the ground. I don't really know what we're saying in this movie :P Also the camera person gets a little distracted. (We had a few unknown kids at the park watching our contest).

Hey people, sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I've have been trying to keep up with school and other random stuff.

Last week, we got the privilege to participate in helping with FOI (Friends Of Internationals), where you basically go and talk with International students from several different countries. Usually, we eat dinner, have a short bible study, then play some games and just talk. Our last meeting, we had a game night with 7 girls from Beijing, China. It was very fun to learn about where they came from, and to talk with them. (Some don't speak English that well, but you can usually understand them). I also got to make friends with a girl named Zhou Wei (her American name is Grace), and I hope to see her at more events in the future! :)

This Sunday, some families (including us) are going to have another Internationals bible study, so hopefully if I can get some, I'll try to post pictures from that.

My camera is such a blessing to me, because I want to be a photographer when I grow up. (that is my real camera)

I love my brown hair, and blue eyes :P It sounds weird, but I really am thankful for thicker hair, and eyes that are blue! (I love blue eyes :)

Canada geese are one of my favorite animals! I remember hearing thousands of them over the lake that we used to live by in CO. Those were some of my best memories.

I am thankful for my promise ring! this looks a lot like the one I currently have. I was able to get a white gold ring with real garnet, because a jewelry store near us was going out of business, so I got it for really cheap!

I love my puppies! Aspen (the white one) is a Schnoodle, and Calvin (he really is still a puppy!) is a Schnauzer =]

Words can't describe how much I love my piano! I probably play it about 2-3 hours every day. I'm also grateful that I'm able to teach piano as well. (I'm hoping for more students soon).

My family I love so much!!!!!!!! (I don't even have words for how much I love them sorry :)

I also am grateful for my ipods! I have a pink shuffle, and a 16g ipod touch. I love listening to music, and I'm glad I'm able to do that with these =]

Lastly I LOVE swinging!!! (It makes our hearts sing as you can tell from the last pic). Rachel (my neighbor), and I try to go to the park at least once a week (about a 8-10 min walk) and swing!!! It's one of my most favorite things, and it has been ever since I was able to do it! So there is my top 20 favorite things! Hope you guys enjoyed it =]

Hey everybody, sorry about the delay on posting. Even though I'm sure you guys hear this from every blogger, I have been really busy.

School has been pretty crazy these past few weeks. It's not even like I feel "swamped" with school, I have just been finishing so late. A couple of nights last week, I was finishing after 7:00 P.M.
Math has been a challenge, not because I'm learning new stuff, but rather cause I can't seem to remember everything when it comes to taking tests! Science and Literature have been going pretty easy this school year. (except for one week when my teachers decided that we needed extra work at the same time hmmm). German seems to be moving at a slower rate, but I'm loving it, and I feel as though I'm actually learning it too! (Isn't that the point of school?) Health, history, and grammar are my "easy" subjects. Each one takes anywhere from 5-25 min. (Pretty simple).

Now as for my permit well.....sigh...I could not get it on, or even near my 15th Birthday. But I'm ok with that. So as of now I'm slowly (but surely!) studying and trying to remember every little detail they stuff into that tiny booklet of drudgery. (I've never hated reading one thing so much before), and hopefully I can take the test relatively soon :P I'll keep you posted on that one....

I never did make any new year's resolutions, but I though I would share a list of things that I would love to get done before the end of the year. (yea right)

*finish my quilt! I started working on it in I think the end of 2006? Well this has been something that has been with me since the beginning. We crazily decided to hand cut, mark, pin, and sew all the sqaures. Thus, needing a lot of time. Well I'm now on the last stretch of it. and just have a few more things to sew left. Then, Alas! I'll be fertig! (finished)

*Study for, and get my permit! Since being so busy with school, I haven't had too much time to study, so I'm really trying to get in as much as possible.

*To be able to worship God not only in church, but also in how I live my daily life. I have always loved music, and have always found it so easy to openly worship God in church, and in song. One thing I want to work on, however, is to worship God in my life as well! I'm really asking God to help me in the way I treat my family, and friends, so I can reflect him in all I do.

*Lastly, I have been growing my hair out since about June, and I would love to donate my hair to the Locks of Love organization. My hair definitely grows on the faster side. When I was younger it grew at about an inch a month! I have already donated my hair there twice, and I would love to do at least a couple more times!

So this is my list of things I would love to accomplish this year. Lord-willing, I can do them all!

Happenings...

Well,
these past few weeks off school have been very fun and relaxing! But as I come onto Monday and start school again, it will help me get back on schedule. We'll start up co-op again which I find quite enjoyable. The part I don't find enjoyable, however, is doing my math :P I'm not so horrible at math, I just find it very hard to get through each school day. So as I start school in the new year I really want to work on having a cheerful attitude in ALL my schoolwork.

Aside from school, my 15th birthday comes up on Jan. 16th.
I'm pretty excited considering the fact that I might (big maybe) be able to get my drivers permit on my birthday. Even if it's not ON my birthday, I hope I can get my permit relatively soon. I'm a little nervous about driving! But don't worry, I plan to practice A LOT before actually going on main roads =]

Finally I started reading the bible in a year this year. I did it in 2007, and learned a lot about God, and his teachings. I must admit it is a little challenging to stay on track, especially during the summer! But I'm asking God to help me stay focused on it this year. I also memorized James chapter 1 a few weeks ago, and surprisingly it was quite easy to do. I guess memorizing verses seems to come naturally to me. Since this seems true, I'm hoping to memorize a lot more of the bible in order to reference it in my daily life!

Christmas and Charlie!

This past week we had a (big), fluffy and cute visitor at our house! Yes, we had the privilege to
host Charlie Watkins at our house for the week. He was such a good boy, and despite his
homesickness, he had a very good time! The cute thing was I think somehow I became one of his favorite people at my house. He followed me EVERYWHERE and whenever I sat down to play piano (even for several hours) he would just lay back on the couch in that room and listen to me play. This past week Charlie found a special place in my heart =] I'm so glad we got to have him!

We also had an out-of-the-normal Christmas this past week. Since my parents ordered several of our presents online, only one or two presents made it to our house BEFORE Christmas :P So us kids had about 2 presents to open including our secret Santa gifts. But in the end all turned out well. We had a slightly boring yes, but a relaxing Christmas day just lounging around.

Hey everybody, I hope all of you have a great Christmas, remembering that this was the day that Christ was born in a manger to later die on the cross for our horrible sins. There is no way for me to say how thankful I am that God chose ME to be saved by his son's death, out of the depths of sin! I'm glad we can have one special day to reflect when Christ was first born to later save us.

I hope everybody has a great Christmas and New Year as we move into 2009! (I can't believe it!)

Screaming solves everything

Today Elle and I went over to the Ellise's to make cookies/deviled eggs. (don't ask why such random food) Well anyways I got these new jeans which I love! but they are just a little too long for me. So as we were cleaning up the kitchen there was some water on the floor and I didn't want to get my new jeans wet on the bottom. So I sat down to roll up the cuffs of my jeans. The first one rolled up fine, but as I started to roll up the second leg I saw a disgusting cockroach! sitting comfortably in my jeans and probably upset when I discovered it. It probably got more upset when I started screaming and shaking my leg violently to try to get it out. I could feel it's antenae and little legs crawling up my leg which of course, made me scream louder and kick my leg harder. I was almost about to take my jeans off in the kitchen but I didn't of course =] instead I just went outside and shook the jeans so hard I probably undid a couple of seams. I can now feel its little legs still on my shin and I'll probably never wear jeans that are too long for me again....

Resurgence Christmas Party

For our Resurgence Christmas party, we had a costume party and everybody had to dress up. We had contests for the best decorated cookie, the best outfit, and the best singing group for karaoke.
Here are some pictures from it (sorry a lot of them are blurry and got cut off, so if you wanna see the full picture click "view all images" on the slideshow) I dressed up as a girl from the 50's and well you can just guess who everybody else was by their pictures :) The person who won best dressed was dressed as Willy Wonka! Enjoy.

what I'm doing for Christmas post

Well we aren't doing much this year, but this post's for Connor.

On Christmas eve our family usually piles into our car, and go look for some of the best-lit houses.

Then Christmas morning we usually don't wake up too early, and we go downstairs to a delicious breakfast my mom makes! We have different food every year, so I'm not sure what we'll have this year. So anyways, we eat breakfast, and sit down at the table to read the Christmas story out of the Bible. after that we start opening presents. Usually we take turns, but some years my parents just let us open them all at once. We also do secret Santa for just us kids, so we only have to buy for our dad, mom, and our secret Santa! It works out quite nicely =] I have already bought one of my presents, so I'm feeling pretty good so far.

After all of the morning stuff, we usually just hang out, and enjoy each other, and our new gifts =]

Not for the faint-hearted...

I went to clean our upstairs hall bathroom today, and found that the shower would not come clean because the drain was so plugged that no water would not go down. (big run-on sentence) So tonight I asked my dad if he could un-plug the drain. He does this probably about once every 3-4 months. So as he started cleaning it out what came out of that drain was not pretty...I must warn you this is very disgusting and is NOT for the faint-hearted...

I have nothing else to say on this matter...

Here is my post for the week :D

Yesterday was a very fun, and crazy day! In the morning we had co-op (It was fun that day) and did the rest of our school. After school, Rachel, Hope, Makenzie, Elle and I all met outside our house so we could "dread lock" Rachel's hair. (a bunch of small braids to make her look more like a guy). Then all of us got our outfits on to go trick-or-treating. (this was Elle and I's first, and last time). Rachel, Elle, and I dressed up as our music video making band: RAG :) We had some pizza first (which sorta made me feel sick :P ), then all of us older kids got going getting candy! We ran into some interesting (and a little scary) poeple, but all in all it was very fun, and we got a lot of candy! Here are some pics of that night :) BTW, RAG isn't supposed to be smiling as I'm sure you'll notice, and the last picture is what Rachel's hair looked like after we took all of those braids out!

Well I'm not quite sure where to start. This past week has been very interesting. I'll start with the not so good...

It all happened on a Tuesday afternoon, Rachel G and I were just walking to Johnson's corner, and decided to stop and sit down in their front yard. All the neighbor kids were playing in the yard across the street, so between playing with Malibu (Rach's new ipod touch) and watching the kids playing football, we were perfectly content just sitting there on the curb.....Then it hit me...literally. I heard someone yell watch out! and then a plastic (yes plastic) light saber hit me right on my head. I felt a little dizzy and sorta nauseous, and it hurt...a lot, but it was nothing I couldn't handle....so I thought. As I looked down to look at Rachel's ipod, I say something drop into my hand. Something red (aka blood)...the first thought that went through my head was oh no... my new clothes! My second thought was that my head got cracked open and I wasn't really gonna survive. Suddenly everything started spinning and my vision sorta got fuzzy(not like it isn't fuzzy already:P ) I felt really naseous, so I all of a sudden just collapsed on the grass and closed my eyes, and tried not to think about my head. Everybody sprang into action staring at me :) and saying stuff (most of which I didn't hear) Finally Mrs. Johnson (the owner of the yard I was getting blood all over) came out with a wet rag and started asking me questions. Long story short my dad came and looked at my head and saw no major injury, so I just walked home and washed my hair! (which was filled with blood!) I did get a picture, but have decided against putting it up here due to the um...let's say disgustingness of it lol

The next day I was feeling more nauseous than ever which wasn't a great thing since that morning at 9:30 AM I was scheduled to have 4 teeth pulled! After about 2 hours (my teeth are very stubborn) I was done, and feeling like I was going to throw up! the rest of the day until about 4 I had a fever, and was laying on the couch. Besides not being able to chew, and having a sore head, I have healed quite nicely from this week's drama! :D

Now on to the good!
I was able to finish a Literature paper that was due the same week I had all those problems, so I'm very grateful that it turned out relatively good. I also bought a 16g itouch for an extremely good price! even though it's only the first generation, I'm glad it was so cheap. (I have yet to recieve it though :P I'm hoping it will be here soon) besides all of this, I have been able to go see a movie, get fall clothes, and play with my friends :) I'm grateful that God has healed me so quickly, and I'm looking forward to church tomorrow.

Now I'll be surprised if you're at the end of this post and read the whole thing!
I hope to post about something in sooner than a week :P

Leeland Concert!

Last night my mom, Aliya, Elle, and I all went to a Leeland concert in Roswell. It was so much fun, and very worshipful. I love the band Leeland and all their songs, so it was very cool to see them sing all their songs live. The concert was very free and relaxed, and we were allowed to go as close to the stage as we wanted! :) Aliya and I got pretty close so we could get some good pictures. We also got to get autographs and meet them in person. They were really nice and shook our hands and talked to us. All in all it was a very fun night. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Tomorrow I have a orthodontist appointment to see if I need braces! Apparently my 2 top teeth (incisors I think?) are stuck because my teeth are so crooked there's no room for them to come down! If they don't come down soon they could permanently be stuck up there, so I'm hoping I can get whatever I need done as soon as possible. (The sooner I get braces, the sooner I can get them off :) So I'll keep you posted on how that goes.

As for that I hope everybody is enjoying beautiful fall weather!

I know I should have posted much sooner, but my camera is broken right now! (or maybe just needs to be charged and I'm too lazy to charge it!) But I'll update my blog the boring way: with only one picture.
I haven't really been doing much, just school and all that great stuff. Last Sunday Aliya had her 17th b-day party! It was pretty fun, but there was a lot of noise and loudness and well you get the point I'm sure. I have just been trying to stay on top of things. Co-op has been going well, and so far I'm not failing any of my classes (yet!) this week for literature I had to write a paper on a poem, and I chose Holy Sonnet XIV. It was a pretty simple paper, but I know they will get harder :) Science is fun for me and pretty easy cause it's always been one of my best subjects. I'm doing Algebra 2 this year for math and although math is not my best, nor my favorite subject, it has been going very well for the first few weeks. I'm taking German this year as well. It's very fun and I actually know some words in it (yay!) As for my other subjects, well those are just "extras" as I like to call them. Or they're otherwise known as the subjects that usually take less than an hour each! Well other than school I don't really have anything else going. So I'll leave you with this scary picture that I took by putting my finger over the flash :)

Well I don't want to say that this is a random post, but it really is! I really don't have much to post about, but here are a couple nice facts.

* Five iron frenzy is one of the greatest bands ever!

* playing the piano is one of the greatest things ever!

* I finally memorized Eph. 1 :D

* I'm taking German as my language for high school

*I love listening to my ipod on speakers when i take a shower, then sing super loud along with it!

*Friday, and Sunday are my favorite days! I don't really like Saturdays cause they are usually boring :D

And well there's more I'm sure, but I can't think of anything else so bye for now!
